This combination gives a wonderful display of flowers all summer. The excellent Generous Gardener from David Austin Roses starts with red flushed foliage and strong growth holding delightful heads of soft pink flowers. The fragrance fills the garden on a warm day. The Clematis comes into its own as the rose takes a breather and prepares for repeat blooming. The perennial sweet pea twines its way around the lower half of the obelisk flowering freely so long as it is regularly dead headed, likewise the rose.
